What will you do
This plan is an excellent combination of mystical and unique experiences in the world. You will begin the tour with a visit to the Guatavita Lagoon, a sacred site for the Muisca culture and a place that inspires the Legend of El Dorado. Afterwards, you will cross the savannah and arrive at the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, the first wonder of Colombia. With its impressive architecture completely carved out of salt, this underground temple will give you an amazing experience visiting the world's largest virtual reality theater, reflecting pool and underground cross.
Tour of Guatavita and Salt Cathedral
7:00 am - La Candelaria: Start your day early by exploring the historic La Candelaria neighborhood in Bogotá. Discover the rich history and colonial architecture as you stroll through its streets and visit emblematic places such as Plaza de Bolívar and the Gold Museum.
8:00 am - 93 Park: Continue your tour in the modern Parque de la 93, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in one of the many cafes and restaurants in the area.
11:00 am - Guatavita Lagoon: Head towards the mystical Laguna de Guatavita, famous for its connection to the legend of El Dorado. Enjoy a walk around the lagoon and learn about its history and cultural significance.
2:30 pm - Lunch Time: Stop at a local restaurant in Guatavita to enjoy a traditional Colombian lunch or explore the dining options the place has to offer.
4:00 pm - Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral: After lunch, continue to the impressive Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral. Discover this masterpiece of underground architecture carved inside a salt mine and marvel at its impressive sculptures and religious spaces.
8:00 pm - Parque de la 93 (second visit): Return to Parque de la 93 in Bogotá for one last stop before ending the tour. Enjoy dinner at one of the area restaurants or simply relax and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the park.
